Pop-up window desappears aftera few seconds

Every time I click on a button linking to a pop-up window, within any Web
page, the associated pop-up window comes up but disappears after a few
seconds. I have XP pro fully up to date, media player 10, TrendMicro Internet
security 2005.
For a test, I deleted all Internet Temporary Files, cookies, pop-up URL and
allowed cookies and Pop-ups. That didn’t help.

I scanned for viruses, spywares, etc. to no avail

Any help will be much appreciated.

Hi,
You have a third-party program running which is blocking pop-ups. Check
settings of the TrendMicro program. Are you running Ad-aware Pro? How about
toolbars such as Google, Yahoo, MSN, etc. Any other security/ad-blocking
programs?

You are right, I have Ad-Aware Pro with Ad-Watch and the option "Activate
Pop-up blocker" was checked.
