CS2 installs without a hitch - but as soon as I try to open a psd file, I
receive the message above. I have tried every trick I know of to solve the
problem to no avail. When I click on Open, a dialog box opens and allows me
to navigate to the file I want. When I highlight the file, it shows as a
"thumbnail" in the bottom center of that dialog box (so, CS2 DID find the
file). However, when I click on that file's name, I receive the message
above. I have enough processor power and RAM and no other Photoshop versions
loaded. Also, the same CS2 works on another PC. I am using XP Pro, Dell
Latitude with 1GHz processor and 512MB ram and an Epson 1280 printer.
Reformatting is not an option as I have over 100 apps installed and it would
take me months to get up to speed. I have thoroughly scrubbed my PC for
viruses and other malware. Also, I have thoroughly cleaned my Registry of
extraneous entries. My graphics card is a Matrox G450. Help!!!!!
