Paralell Print only prints to Network Printer

This is a strange problem I am having and don't know what
is going on. After I have updated all my SP's for win2000
I am having a error printing to my local printer.

I have been using a network printer for some time now and
just purchased a new printer to have in my office. I
hooked it up to the USB port and it worked fine. However i
am using a Dos program which uses this printer but can
only print to it if it is connect through a Parallel port
not USB. when I switched it over to the Parallel port all
it does is print to my network printer. Even if I
uninstall all my printers including Acrobat printer and
the only printer I have is my Parallel printer it still
goes to my network printer. I believe this was a problem
from one of the updates. How do I correct this Problem?
Very frustrating any help would be great. Thanks!

Brent,
Even if I

goes to my network printer.

You probably have mapped your lpt port to the network printer.
If you want to evaluate a software which can allows your DOS app. to print
to the Acrobat printer too, then have a look at Printfil.
