Outlook takes long time while forwarding any emails

Dear Freinds,
Few of my users are noticing a very weired behavior on outlook 2003.
whenever they try to forward any email, the outllook takes almost 10-15
minutes to open the forward email window.Also when they try to open any item
in the inbox it takes a while to open an email.
Does anyone has track of what could be the reason behind such behavior.

Even I have observed the same. Not sure if this is because of Word set as
default email editor.
 
My clients are also experiencing the same. In particular when they forward an
HTML email. However, I am at this point unsure of the version of Outlook they
have.
