Outlook 2003 - 15 unread messages in the Inbox...but where are the

I am running Outlook 2003 and the Inbox says it has 15 unread messages so it
looks like Inbox (15) but I can't find them. I sorted by read and selected
all and marked as read...no change. I tried marking the sub folders under
the Inbox to marked as read to clear any unread messages...no change. I've
tried just about everything that has been suggested in these forums. Do you
think I need to delete and recreate my Outlook profile?

Examine the Unread Mail search folder. Does it show any entries? Did you
try reight-clicking the Inbox and choosing Mark All as Read?
