Hi All, I will explain you my setup, iam running windows 2003server standard.
i have shared the internet with Routing and Remote Access to clients window
xp, and internet is working fine but iam facing some problm with MS outlook
1. Error iam getting: Log onto incoming mail server pop3: outlook could not
connect to the incomming mail server (pop3). the problem could be your ssl or
port settings for the incomming server. verify your port and ssl settings
under more settings on the Advance Tab

error2 : send test e-mail message: outlook could not connect to the
outgoing mail server (SMTP). the problem could be your ssl or port settings
for the outgoing server. Veryfy your port and ssl settings under more
settings on the advance tab.

with same settings i am able to configure some other place and working fine

And intrestingly same place i am able to configure the Gamil in MS outlook
and working fine.

What is wrong in configuring with my odffice account. please help.

When did this issue happen ? Was it working before with the same setup ? Which ISP are you using for email.

Can you post back with the answers.

The reason I ask is because I am running a W2K3 Enterprise Server and I have 4 POP3 email accounts and the exact same issue with the exact same error showed up for me since Friday. All the other 3 accounts which are the same but with different addresses are working perfectly as before but not this one.

I am trying to troubleshoot the root cause since the 3 other accounts are exactly the same with the same setup and only this one is giving me the issue.
It might be a (most likely( issue with the server on the microsoft site) (MSN) .
So please let me know your situation and your geographical location

Sounds to me like this is then a Server issue. You use the SMTP
services from the Server? Or, do you allow (or somehow blocking) 25 and
110 on the Server?

I found the problem at my end. If Hotmail is installed and it is set to receive and send pop3 and if any one of your pop3 accounts and you have any of your accounts also set up in there then go into Hotmail and delete or move everything in the Inbox and Sent folder.

Solved the issue at my end immediately.
