Outlook mail error: can't receive or send

My outlook mail was working, then one day it stopped, gives me this error:
Log onto incoming mail server (POP3): outlook could not connect to the
incoming mail server (POP3). The problem could be your SSL or port settings
for incoming server. Verify your port and SSL settings under More settings on
the advance tab.

**I checked it and nothing has changed, I double checked with my husbands
settings and they are same but his works???

Any suggestions on what else I can check?
