This problem newly appeared when I upgraded Vista from 5600 to 5728.

It was working properly with OL2007B2TR in RC1 5600.

The Outlook help file says to change the properties of the Contacts folder.

But when I try to do this (right click Contacts folder in OL2007, select
Properties/OutlookAddressBook), the checkbox "Show this folder as an email
address book" is greyed out and cannot be checked!

Help appreciated.

Add the Outlook Address Book account via Tools-> Account Settings-> tab
Address Books

Dear Roady,

Thank you for your reply.

BTW I tried posting this in the "contacts" group first, but didn't get a
response.

To address your suggestion, the OAB account is already in the Address Books
tab. There is no other entry there. I tried deleting it, to somehow start
over, but was unsuccessful. The checkbox in the contacts folder properties
is still greyed out.

Regards,
JR

Try recreating your mail profile; this could have become damaged during your
Vista upgrade;

Dear Roady,

Just wanted you to know that this eventually worked.

It wasn't easy, but it worked.

Thanks much,
JR
