lost address book Outlook 2007

Upgraded from Windows XP to Windows y. Did all proper backups per MS
instruction. Old contacts list and all emails are there, but no address book
.. Area for selecting conacts for address book remains gray in
contacts/properties/addressbook no matter what I do.

Please help as my contact list is long.

Ps. I can add new contacts, but they do not show up in any address book.

Create a new Mail profile in Control Panel-Mail and attach the existing pst
file to it. See if that helps.
