Will office 2003 run ok on xp and 2000 clients

I have installed Office 2003 on Windows 2000 sp4 and
windows xp sp1 and had no problems whatsoever, I also
upgraded office xp on a win 2000 sp4 machine and had no
problems.

Absolutely, but you will need to be on SP3 or later for Windows 2000 (you
should be anyway). I'm not sure of the SP requirement for XP, but you
should upgrade to the latest anyway.
