I recommend you disable that logon for the Microsoft Communities
feature because it is very buggy.
Go to Tools, Options, and on the General tab uncheck "Use
newsgroup message rating features".

Well, obviously you can both receive and post attachments in this
newsgroup, so it must be something peculiar to the AutoDesk NG.
Have you asked them for help?

I don't know what you mean by you can't receive as NG posts are sent as
messages to you, but rather are listed as downloadable messages on the
newsserver. If you can't download the messages, then I'd suggest you
contact Autodesk.
