Windows Mail in Vista

R

Rich Wonneberger

I have a problem with Windows Mail in Vista Home Premium.
The first day I used it, I set up the Microsoft newsgroup only for news,
not e-mail.
I selected the few groups I wanted, posted a message or two no problem.
Next day I saw my messages, including one reply.
A few days lated I added two other news servers and the groups I wanted.
The next message I tried to post prompted me for credentials, user name
and password.
I do not get prompted for this from Seamonkey.
I tried to put my e-mail address and the server info for me e-mail to
see if it would work, but it started to d-load my e-mail which I do not
want (yet).
I also can not post the the Microsoft groups any more. I had to set up
Seamonkey on this new box to post this message.
I can not seem to find why it will not send the messages to the groups.
Any ideas??

TIA
Rich W.

Which news server is repeatedly asking you for the username
and password?

Make sure the username and password for the Microsoft news
server are left blank.
