Odd news server event

I subscribe to a news server that uses port 563 on Vista Home Premium.
Windows Mail downloads the group list, finishes, but then immediately shows
a blank window, with NO groups listed, and a message "no groups meet your
search criteria" in the groups pane. This server worked perfectly OK on XP,
and my two other servers, news.individual.net and msnews.microsoft.com have
no such problem.
Can anyone suggest a solution for this?

Strange - seems to have fixed itself after the fifth attempt at downloading
groups....
