NEWDotNet

I keep getting infected with NewDotNet spyware in the
Beta 1 program. The program goes through the process of
deleting it, but it shows up again on the next scan. I'm
not sure if the program has a bug or if I am really
getting repeatedly infected.

There's a good chance you are being reinfected.

Try restarting the machine in safe mode and doing a full scan while in safe
mode.

Agree with Bill's method, Art. Also, see if it's listed in
Add/Remove Programs. If so, uninstall it first from there.
Then do all scanning with MSAS while *offline* ( one of the reason's
Bill recommends Safe Mode ).

Rule No.#1 of the Spyware game is *never* use the uninstaller
from the site that infected you in the first place.

Rule No.#2 - See rule Number #1.

MSAS may not be flagging "NewDotNet".

Using the newdotnet uninstaller is probably the one exception to that rule
as it is the safest and easiest way to uninstall newdot net
The other "safe" uninstaller is LOP as other methods don't remove it very
well

I'm afraid (due respect) that you're incorrect on both counts.

NewNet and C2Media\Lop are some of the most invasive Spyware
infestations other that 'Cool Web Search'.

Best method for removing these two is with "HijackThis"
