New Motherboard and Processor Repair?

I'm running XP Pro and would like to replace the MB and Processor
with a dual core Cpu etc. Could I get by with a repair after doing
this or would I need to do a complete reinstall? I'm not very up
on XP Pro so any advice would be appreciated.

After replacing the mobo you will need to perform a 'Repair' install of XP.

A repair installation *usually* works, but not always. You should certainly
be prepared to do a clean reinstallation if the repair isn't sufficient.
