network printer

I just created a network and it works fine except I am unable to share my
printer.
Desktop: Window XP connected to an Hp 1012, laptop: Windows Vista.
When I attempt to access the printer from the laptop I get a window that
says ACCESS DENIED. The printer is shared so I don't know where to go.

Did you complete the Network Setup Wizard on XP? This will enable the Guest
account.
