Need help with Epson C62

Hello to all of you!

I have an Epson C62, quite satisfied with it. Until now. I haven't
used the color cartridge for a time, and now the status monitor says,
it's empty. The problem is, I can't print in black & white without the
color one.
Is there a way to make the printer print without the color cartridge?

No. You need ink in both cartridges to print.

If you don't need to print in colour you could buy a chip resetter and
just reset the colour chip and the printer will think the colour
cartridge is fine. Wouldn't recommend this if you want to print in
colour in the future as the ink will completely run out and dry the
colour printhead. Resetters are available from many places - try
www.printerowners.co.uk/epsonchipreset_cart.htm or buy a cheap
compatible brand colour ink cartridge.

Thank's for both of your replys. I think I'll migrate to a
one-cartridge printer. By the way, how are the new printer - cartridge
prices at your place? Here, in Hungary a new printer with color and
black ink is sometimes cheaper, than the new cartridges. That's
somehow really annoying.
