My cd rom is corrupted or not working???

Help! My cd rom is no longer working, it says it is corrupt, code 39???/

I need it soooo badly! ug!

Hi

Go into device Manager - delete any references to the CD drive, then reboot
your system. It's a driver problem.

I've noticed that sometimes CD Writer software cause these issues,
especially Nero, or when you have more than one. Try uninstalling Nero,
or whatever writer software you are using, and reinstalling it. That
might help.

Code 39 is specifically a driver problem.
