Ms Office screen opening up when i try to start Outlook , help please

For some reason after a using a restore point from a couple of days ago ,
whenever i try to open Outlook 2007 , the M/S Office installation screen
opens up ,,if i click on the 'x' i get a box asking if i want to quit the
setup , i click yes and then the Outlook screen opens.

Any suggestions on what to do here? I've tried doing a repair to office ,
but it still happens.

Instead of cancelling it let it finish. Provide the CD if requested.

I've gone that route many times as well ,,, after it tells me to reboot ,
i do that and try Outlook again and nothing had changed. It never asks
for a cd , but i've put it in and tried doing a repair of Office , but
the same thing comes up.

Any other suggestions that i could try ,, please.

By any chance is it the Windows Installer that is popping up on you

It's the same screen that comes up when you first install Office 2007 ,
that says 'configuring MS Office 2007 Professional' , only it doesn't go
into the screen asking you what you want to install.

It's not the little box that says 'windows installer'
