I have about 60 system with this problem.. INFO first= P4 2.4, USB optical mouse, windows update done, bios up to date... I think that it is a software issue. The thing is that, some times for no reason, the cursor moves (realy fast, meabe a re init of the mouse??) form one place to an other... about all the time, it goes in the upper right corner of the screen

Anyone know or had this issue.. ???

Yep, seen this problem with the Dell Inspiron and Dell Latitude systems. If
you go to Dell's Forum you'll find over 500 posts relating to this. Of
course, it looks as though each and every resolution is different.

My pc are clones??? is it possible that it is just normal... Does not
happend so often.

I wouldn't go as far as saying that this is normal. As for fixing the
problem, drivers are the most responsible for awkward issues such as this.
But a few fixes that I've come across range from changing the mouse
interface type (instead of USB, use PS/2); if the mouse is something in the
line of an Intellimouse, use a cloth type mouse pad. Reason for this is
because if the cursor is jumping then use it on your pants leg...you'll
notice no jumping.

I have seen so many resolutions about this issue but can't swear by any
specific one. Good luck.

Although you mention "USB optical mouse" that still doesn't say if the mouse is corded or cordless. Could be you have a cordless mouse to a receiver that connects to USB. If using a cordless mouse, are there other cordless mice nearby? I had a prior poster that had a similar problem where 2 users were on adjacent but different floors within the same building. There were obviously far outside the expected 4-to 6-foot working range for cordless mice and definitely outside the 10- to 12-foot separation suggested for cordless mice (unless these two users happened to be vertically aligned between the two floors). You might try having the users hit the Connect button first on the receiver and second under the cordless mouse to resync it to their nearby cordless mouse. With 60 users using cordless mice, and since it is often difficult to ensure they are 12 feet apart to prevent interference, you might have to revert to corded mice.
