My mouse cursor jumps on a screen corner

Time to time my mouse cursor jumps on a screen corner. I changed the mouse,
but this outrage go on as before. My system is WinXP, my mouse is optical
IntelliMouse.
How can I get rid of this?

Wireless? Change the batteries... Move the receiver closer to the mouse...

Do this: control Panel - Mouse - Pointer Options - Uncheck the "Enhance
Pointer Precision."
