Missing Program File msvcp80.dll

I am using Windows XP with Windows Defender. My Norton Systemworks scan is
giving me a missing program files report.
"C:\Program Files\Windows Defender\MSASCui.exe" cannot access a necessary
file "msvcp80.dll"
any help in fixing the problem would be appreciated.Thanks

If you're not experiencing any problems with Windows Defender, then perhaps
this Symantec article would be equally applicable to msvcp80.dll error
