Integrity scan

I have Norton SystemWorks and when I run a one button checkup, under the
Program Integrity Scan I am getting 2 errors. 'Missing Program Files'.
"C\Prog Files\Windows Defender\MSAS Cui.exe" cannot access a necessary file,
"msvcp80.dll" and "msvcr80.dll". I fix the problem and although it says
"Problems fixed" it comes back again on the rescan. Obviously something to do
with Windows Defender, but I havn't a clue what. Can anyone please help to
solve this. Appreciate any help, thank you.

Delete c:\program files\windows defender\MSASCui.exe.manifest

Engel: Check your Defender today, it updated to 1.14.1436.4 automatically.

This is essentially an error on the part of Norton. You might try Engel's
remedy. It may work, although I think it has been tried and failed--and it
will do no harm, and may even be beneficial.

Thank you for your help. Sorry, but I am rather new to this and not sure how
to go about deleting it. I would very much appreciate it if you could tell me
how. Sorry for being so thick and thanks again for your help.
