When using Norton Systemworks 2002 WinDoctor for XP, I receive a msg "Program
Files\WindowsDefender\MSASCui.exe, cannot access necessary file -
msvcp80.dll. Is this a Norton software issue or do I need to reinstall XP.
Thanks, Rick

Hi Rick,
%Windir%\WinSxS\x86_Microsoft.VC80.CRT_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_8.0.50727.42_x-ww_0de06acd
msvcr80.dll, msvcp80.dll and msvcm80.dll
You can Copy them from that Path to the following for WinDoctor to see them:
C:\Program Files\WindowsDefender\MSASCui.exe
Or you can copy them from another machine to the problematic machine ( the
other machine should have the same Operating system).
HTH.
Let us know.
Regards,
nass

You are better off w/o Norton Systemworks, NIS or NAV.
