Midi sound problems in Web Page

I have several web pages in geocities, have had them for
a long time now. Most of them contain Midi Files, three
have Wav Files. The ones with WAV files play just fine,
but none of the Midi Files play at all. I am not sure if
this is a problem with the Internet Explorer, Windows XP,
or what?? I have checked my Midi Player settings and
midis are selected to be able to play. I have gone
through every help available and am now turning to those
who might have had the same problem. I did see where
someone suggested a firewall problem, but wouldn't that
affect Wav files as well? Please help, I am at the end of
my rope. (Prior to Windows XP, I had Windows 98, never
had a sound problem with that. Thanks very much in
advance. Lori

I have a smililar problem. However, believe it is my
WMP. Cannot hear Midi files either on my web page or
from my computer. This is something that's occured in
the past week and the only change I've mad to my computer
is that I've downloaded "Real player". Subsequently
removed it and still have the same problem.

Thanks, but the sound does play on my midi player, just
not in the web page. I am trying to download MP3 files,
transposing them into wav files, however I have to edit
the length etc. in order to use them. Pain in the neck. I
am really stumped. Thanks again.. Lori
