midi files

I have tryed several midi prog eg: cuebase, sonic etc to name a few but can
not get them to play midi files no sound out nothing ! any idears guys ?

WMP will play Midi files, have you tried it?

Make sure your sound card is correctly set up to play midi files - Start >
Control Pannel > Sounds and Audio Devices > Audio Tab > is there a midi
device selected ? If not select one that relates to your sound card.
