Microphone Wizard

I just installed the speech recognition package from my Office XP
disc. I am having trouble getting the Microphone Wizard to work. I can
get the wizard to open but then it just hangs. I can't get it to close
after that, and I have to reboot in order to clear. I figure there
must be some conflict but I am not sure how to tracj it down. Any help
would be appreciated.
 
Go to Start/Run, and type DEVMGMT.MSC , highlight the sound card device, Action menu, "Uninstall", then restart Windows, to find the
device drivers again automatically.
