I can't figure out why my microphone isn't working, i tryed finding info on
my computer and found this : (Open Speech in Control Panel. On the Speech
Recognition tab, click Configure Microphone; the Microphone Wizard appears)
Only problem is "Speech Recognition" doesnt exist there. I have checked for
viruses and adware, nothing there. still no mic. I even went into "sounds and
audio devices" in control panel and tryed to set the volume for my mic there
as well. my mic was returned to the store and got a new one, still nothing.
volumes are all the way up. whats the problem?

I spent hours searching on my Dell Latitude laptop why the mic was'nt
working only to find there was'nt one installed, perhaps your machine is the
same?

Good sugestion. however, I forgot to add on my note, that I was using my mic
and there was no problems. worked fine! I was recording and everything.
However one day it just stoped working. and ive been trying ever since to get
it back working. I just can't figure out was the problem is.

OK.. on my own I figured it out. I went to "sounds and audio devices" and
clicked on voice at the top made sure they were not too low and muted, than I
clicked on test hardware and it worked. so all is fixed! I hope this helps
others
