Hi Khane & welcome

Yeah don't bother wish MESH, have a look at OCUK or Novatech, is gonna cost you more but its worth it in the end, if you are after a laptop as well then checkout Laptops direct.

If you need any assistance in picking out a PC or Laptop then the peeps here will be happy to help.

luckily there's a pc shop just up the road from me that can build me the same system cheaper than Mesh prices, as for the laptop i'm gonna wait to see if the one they send actually works (ASUS M70VN-7T003G), the main system was quoted at almost £2700 so I really didn't want to risk it being an expensive paperweight :s

Thats at least the £700 too much.

Edit: Intels new Core-I7 is out in a couple of weeks you would be crazy not to wait. In 3 weeks that £2700 Gaming Rig is gonna be £1500.

Re-Edit: Also you have a superfast processor, giant graphics card, yet you would get lag on the hard drives, as the seek time is crappy and its 1TB, not the best for storing or playing games, you want a Raptor or Cheetah drive.

You see MESH don't know crappola.

heh well from what i've just read on here about Mesh it'll proably take them longer than that to issue a refund, even tho i cancelled the order before the system was even built, only giving them 1 week then it's off to the bank and possible the HCMS.

Mesh can take up to 30 days to give a refund & the law is on their side over this.
If you bought with a credit card you have more clout than with a debit card!

My Mesh PC which is 3.5 years old is going well & copes with everything i use it for.
But sadly the first 6 months of ownership were hell!

I emailed Dave there this morning just to confirm my refund was being processed like they told me, he pretty much told me that it shouldn't be a problem as there were no goods to be returned (i cancelled before they built the system) and that the 20th is the date their bank will be instructed to make the payment into my account and that i should receive it 2-3 days after that, so i guess i'll hafta wait and see :s

btw thanks for the info on the hdd's (wondering about solid state ones too), i'll hafta remember that when i go to build the system myself, also thinking about swapping to an AMD setup as it's gonna be a gaming rig.

Dude, you could spend £1500 and have an awesome PC if you build it yourself.

Don't bother with AMD, i had a 9850 Phenom, they are crap compared to Intel, i now have a Q6600 much better.

Others on here have, both AMD and Intel Rigs, and a lower spec Intel beats the AMD.

If you want i can propose a build for you.

Oh one other thing i wouldn't bother with the GTX280 its wayyyyy exspensive for what it is, lots of probs with heat. As you have loads of cash get 2 x 9800GTX+ in SLI then add a third card later for tri sli when the drivers improve.

Nothing scales higher at the moment.

Edit: Khane, you might wanna start a new thread as we have kind of hijacked this, just call it new build or something.

MeshSupport must be getting paranoid on whats being written about them.
2nd time today they have been on this site checking what we have been writing about them.
Pity they do not use this time to help out their latest victims, er i mean customers!

If they spent as much time seeing what people write about as they did offering a decent service no one would complain so much!
Sadly they feel unable to help people here, but as they cant control the situation they will not help!

I see the poll results are right after all!!

I actually got my refund in full today after only having to send 1 email to confirm it was being done, maybe it was quick just because i cancelled the order before they even built the system but it was nice to get it on the day i was told it would be there.

I wonder if they made sure the refund was unusually prompt as a result of reading this thread ;)

Doubt it, but it would be nice to think they did care about their customers.

I have just bought a pc from MESH and received it yesterday.
So far the PC has only worked once, the rest of the time i get errors saying about a fualty bootdevice and i get the, Ye Olde blue screen of death.

After reading these posts this morning im concerned about getting a refund as i do not wish to have the company replace a problem machine with another problem machine or keep me twiddling my thumbs until the warrenty is over.

Please help me if you can !!!
