mail alert popup

Pam

I keep getting a pop up every few minutes that tells me In order to use
desktop alert, you need to enter the login data for the following email
address: PFT

this popup happens every few minutes - I hit ok - it goes away - can anyone
tell me where its coming from and how to stop it??

I've checked my email addresses and all of them are ok - I just don't have a
clue where this is coming from!

thanks
Pam

Sounds like you installed some software that you should not have
installed. Go to Control Panel, Add and Remove Programs, look for
anything suspicious and uninstall it.

I can't find anything in there that would be an alert type program...any
other ideas??

When it pops up - it just says NOTE at the top of the box

I'm not familiar with this 'desktop alert' thing. It is not a
normal part of Vista or Windows Mail, so it must be part of
something you installed, or that the seller loaded on your
PC initially. I don't have any other suggestions other than
having a computer-savvy friend take a look at it.
