lost e mail

Hi....
When I am logging off I am being informed that I have an unread
message.....but when I go to my inbox there is no message there. Any ideas
where it could be?....thanks !

Do you have Windows Messenger and a Hotmail Account?

You may find email there that isn't read.

Hi Karen,
You've probably read it, the notification is a glitch which happens a lot
apparently.

You can remove the notification via a registry edit:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\UnreadMail\
<your e-mail address>
Double click Message Count and change the value to 0.(zero)

If you're not happy with messing about with the registry, download Tweak UI
from

Microsoft .

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx

Once installed, open and expand 'Logon', click on 'Unread Mail' and uncheck
'Show unread mail on welcome screen' then 'Apply' and exit
