Lost Accessories Folder

J

James

Shortly after installing xp I managed to loose my
accessories folder from the start menu.

Any Idea how I restore it to the start menu. I am not
certain where to find the thing in the first place.

Thanks

The folder typically resides in C:\Documents and Settings\username\Start
Menu\Programs, where username is the name of your user account.

If it's not there, try this: click Start, Control Panel, Add or Remove
Programs, and then click Add/Remove Windows Components. You should see a
folder called Accessories and Utilities. I belive if you click that and
click Next and follow the wizard, you will reinstall the Accessories folder
and its contents. You may need to insert your Windows XP installation CD.

Hope this helps,
