"Accessories" not in Start/Program Window

When I click "Start/All Programs", the "Accessories" folder does not appear.
Thus I have no access to things like Notepad, Calculator, Character Map,
etc.

The actual folder is in the same place it's always been. I can use Search
or Run/Browse to find Notepad et al, but it's quite inconvenient. Is there
any way to restore "Accessories", with sub-menus, to my "All Programs"
window?

Have you checked in the control panel, open Add or Remove Programs, Add/Remove Window
Components (on the left pane)? Could be you haven't enabled the components...

I checked this path....

Control Panel / Add or Remove Programs / Add or Remove Windows Components
[opens Windows Components Wizard] / Accessories and Utilities.

I find both subcomponents, "Accessories" and "Games", ARE checked. The
"Games" folder appears in the 'All Programs' window. The "Accessories"
folder does not. That's the folder I'm trying to restore.

I am having the same problem. I have tried everything (add remove, restore,
go back)and have searched for several days online but cannot find anything
specific. It is available in my administrator account but not in mine. I
would just use that account except I have loaded everything in the other
account.
Was
wondering if it is going to take manually adding it in the registry?

Thanks much
