Logon Screen show unread mails

It's weird.
At the logon welcome screen, there's a ""my username" has 4 unread mails."
under my username.
why is there so? i checked my mails and i read all of them. and since it's
juz reformatted, there's only junkmails which i deleted them.

Why is it there showing 4 unread mails?
pls advice.
