logo testing

I'm finding it rather frustrating to be constantly told that the software I
am trying to install has not passed windows logo testing and will not be
installed and theres nothing to be done about it.
Well I want to do something about it, I want the entire idiotic logo rubbish
off my machine. Does anybody know how to uninstall this completely useless
piece of the OS?
Linux looks better everyday.
I have already got ( I think ) everything set to ignore but guess what ? It
ignores that instead!

Just to add to Alan, there is no "uninstalling" WinXP, you simply either
format the installation partition or remove it altogether in preparation for
the installation of another OS. If you wish to go with Linux, I'd suggest
starting with the fairly easy to learn Mandrake, SuSE, or Fedora iterations.
All can be downloaded for free from various FTP sites. If your system uses
SATA drives, be cautious as some do not yet natively support it.
