Helllo,
Trying to install WIndows XP Home from my Dell Reinstallation CD and
received the following error during the initial setup " ... has not
passed Windows Logo Testing ...."

Why would I receive this error when I am simply installing the OS to a
new hard drive?

Thank you for your help -
Chris

Is there a button marked 'ignore' to click on?

Chuber,

It probably won't help during an clean installation, but the default
verification settings can be changed from warning you to accepting all
verifications or ignoring all verifications . Not sure if you would want to
change this since you are given the option to 'ignore' or 'block' during the
verification warning you are speaking about.

* Right-click on My Computer, select Properties > Hardware > Driver Signing
* Change from the default 'Warn' to either 'Ignore' or 'Block'

Have you tried researching this on the Dell site? Perhaps there is a
resolution there.
