log on problem

win2000 is asking me for my user name and password. i have
always had the option to "cancel" and log on. I can not
log on the only option I have is to shutdown. What can I
do? I don't know what I did to cause this problem.

Win98 allows you to press "Cancel" at log on time; Win2000
does not. Log on as "Administrator", and enter the password
you used when you first loaded Windows 2000. Many people
use a blank password at this stage. You can then launch the
Control Panel / Users and reset the password for your own
account.
