Log Off and Log On Problem

S

Simon Brown

Hi,

My wife and I have differnet User Accounts on our PC (XP Pro SP2 and
latest updates) the problem comes when we Log off from MY account to log
on to HERS, in that it logs me off ok but in loading her account up it
stops at her desktop picture and goes no further, nothing else visible,
no taskbar, no HDD LED flashing.

This has only just starting happening and I have not installed any new
software or uninstalled any.

However if 'Switching Users' from my account to hers by using 'windows
key +L' or choosing 'Switch User', we have no trouble at all.

Any Ideas?

Before loging off from my account I have the McAfee AV, ZoneAlarm, MS
AntiSpyware and the normal windows system processes running. The same
that run in all accounts. My AV, ZoneAlarm and MS Antispy are upto date.

Regards
Simon

Simon,
Don't know if it has any bearing but I had a very similar
problem that occurred when my daughter logged off and I tried to logon,
blank screen and no icons or task bar. It cleared up when I uninstalled
and completely removed all reference to the Microsoft Anti-Spyware
software. Maybe someone with more expertise in this matter can give some
explanation. Hope this is helpful.
