log in password each time

Hi. Please help
Each time I open Outlook and do the first Send/Receive, a window pops up
asking me to verify my password.
I'm ticking 'remember password' but each time I go into options to have a
look, the password is gone.
I have another identical laptop with identical settings and I don't have the
problem.
Driving me nuts.

OS XP
Outlook v 2002

Uncheck to receive on the second account (it will be done by the first
account)
Tools-> Options-> tab Mail Setup-> button Send/Receive-> button Edit...

Hi. Thank you so much. It worked!
I'm baffled coz the other laptop has that setting checked.and didn't have
the problem ? But whatever.
Could you please tell me how to solve this on Outlook 2000 for a friend. I
can't seem to find the same setting.
Thanx

You're welcome! :)

The option isn't there indeed. Is he using Outlook in IMO or CW mode?

Also take a look here;

Just looked up what they mean. She just has one laptop. Home user so I guess
it's IMO.
By the way that solution you mentioned before didn't work after all. We
thought it was but it turned out it wasn't checking the incoming mail that
way. ;(
I forgot to mention that we're on a home network. So I guess we're IMO too??

For Outlook 2000; IMO probably use Help->About to make sure
For Outlook 2002; there are no modes anymore
