Local Users and Groups / messed up?

T

Torsten

In the Computer Management Window
under
Computer Management (Local)
System Tools
Local Users and Groups

the later tab contains a red x-mark
and the right window shows the message:

Local Users and Groups
Unable to access the computer xxxx. The error was: Invalid syntax

( the xxxx is the name of my computer)
Has anybody some ideas on how to fix this?
Happened after SP4 update.
This is a stand alone Windows 2000 Pro machine and I don't have any
significant data contained
with this setting just like to get it to work again.
Everything else seams to be working fine.
Any recommendation like reinstallation nessesary?
Please comment

Thanks

Well so far I have not gotten a single reply on this, hmm may just be
something few
people have run into?
I am toying with the idea to log in as admin and delete this item, hoping
this may just
reset things back to defaults settings.
Is this something worth trying of am I gone make it worse?
Opinion thought.
Thanks
