license media player

I have copied my music to my new computer but can't play the files I've
ripped from CD. I guess there is a license which needs to be transfered
from the old computer. When WMP tries to load a new license from the
internet all I get is the usual error which contains an error 438:
unknown error while tryin to transfer license - or something like that.

Does anyone have a solution to this problem.

I had the same error. IE was blocking the Active X code that needs to run to
download the file so I ran it manually and the licence was loaded. I also
disabled the firewall which may have helped.
