Laserjet 5N print cutoff at 5/8"

Problem-
Only one of our users has this issue. Running Windows 2000, printing to a
networked Laserjet 5N, using lastest 2000 drivers, any type of print job.
When the user prints, 5/8" is cutoff from the right side only. He is able
to print these docs/pages to other networked/local printers without issue.
Other Win2k users are able to print this doc/page to the problem printer,
Laserjet 5N, without this problem. Reinstalled printer on his computer a
few times. Any suggestions? Thanks

Maybe the drivers aren't being loaded on the pc. I would
try installing the 5N as a local printer on the problem pc
so you can see the drivers install. Then try printing to
the networked 5N printer.

There were some issues with some HP Printer Drivers and MS Word. The size
of the non-printable area was not being reported correctly. When printing
in Portrait, typically the bottom was cut off. When printing in Landscape,
the right side was cut off.

To see if the problem you have is similar to this, with the document open,
click File, Page Setup and select the Margins tab. Click OK. With this
problem, you get a message box saying that one or more of the margins is
outside the printable area. If you click OK, the margins get reset to be
inside the (incorrect) printable area.

This was fixed in later editions of the HP Printer Drivers available on the
HP web site.
