language pack / cplexe.exe

Derek

To view Japanese web pages I get prompted to install the
Microsoft Japanese language pack. But the installation
stops and asks me to add cplexe.exe from my Windows XP
disc. But my computer (like most these days) comes with
a recovery disc that contains Win XP. But cplexe.exe is
not there. I looked at recovery discs of all the other
computers here, but same problem. So I am stuck. Where
can I download cplexe.exe ???????

Any help gratefully received.

I've never installed a language pack yet I've got a copy of cplexe.exe
in my c:\windows\system32\dllcache folder. The "dllcache" folder is a
system hidden folder. You might check yours to see if a copy is
there. The file description is listed as Microsoft IME.

I found cplexe.exe on my windows installer inside the i386 directory. It asked for a few other files, too, but they were all in there, as well.
