Javascript popup window not showing the contents but about:blank

Hi
I had a chance to view a similar thread on about:blank hijack but the
solutions offerred there did not help me.

I have an ASP.Net application with a date picker. Whenever I click the date
picker icon it should create a popup and show the dates for the month. In
some cases what is happening is that the the popup comes up but displays
blank page with about:blank as a title. In some cases where it displays we
could see it first navigates to about:blank and then to the date picker
contents.

I have IE6 with XP SP2. This does not happen on all the computers but only
on some computers. I dont know why. Greatly look forward to getting some help
from you. Tried everything I could google and forums and suggestions. I even
tried putting about:blank in the restricted sites. It did not work. Disabled
3rd party add ons in the advance tab and restarted. It did not work.

Do a thorough check for malware, following all of the steps at one of these

So How Did I Get Infected Anyway?
For quite a few people it's by installing programs like Messenger Plus,
whose ads for malware don't identify the malware as such and try to convince
you that you owe it to the author. See also:

Don't ever do a "default" install of anything. Always choose Custom and see
what else is being carried along. Don't install any extras you're not sure
of.
