Hello everyone,
I would really appreciate if anyone could help me out on this issue.
For the past 2 days now, this problem keeps reappearing in Internet Explorer
6, the "about:blank" spyware. I really don't know how to get rid of it, it
keeps on hi-jacking my webpages making the browser unusable.
I am running Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 2 installed, and I
did so before this issue started happening. I notice that the Pop-Up Blocker
in XP SP2 seems to be fooled in to thinking it has blocked a Pop up, but
this "about:blank" pop-up page has actually fooled it.
I have tried enabling Secure Content, to block the about:blank itself, which
required a password, but still ended on the same about:blank page. I
searched Google for help, but users still ended with the same results, even
if they are running Spy Bot Search & Distroy with full updates, even
SpyChecker doesn't work.
So, please help me if you can, and hope the answer isn't reinstall the OS,
because I can't.
