About:blank

I've got this problem at work. A computer came in; (WinXP home; IE 6), the startpage is set for about:blank; but there's a commercial page on the display.

It seems like the about:blank page is "replaced" by the other one. I've installed spy bot and ad-aware; both came up with nothing. I also ran Norman viruscontrol; same story though... In de registery is nothing to be found either; there are a few hits; for example there's a key called start page; with the value about:blank.

When i change it in for instance www.msn.com; and I open the IE; it wil go to msn.com; but when i close it, and re-open it; the key has been changed again to about blank

So my question; can anyone help me on this one??
