about:blank

My home page has been taken over by about:blank.
In my Internet Options window if I click on Use Blank
for my home page, about:blank is put in. What ever home
page I use as soon as I load my browser window it comes
up about:blank. I've found files in my registry and
deleted them, but the program loads them back.
Any ideas of how to get rid of this.
