IE6 - about:blank

Clicking on some links opens up another IE window for that link. When I
close the second IE window, on the task bar displays "about:blank Microsoft".
Then an error message is displayed that IE encountered an error and will be
shut down. And to send or not send an error report. I have Ver.
6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr.0503-1519 Any help is appreciated.
