Is it safe to have both highway & freeway on one PC?

Hello all,

I would like to have both dial-up and broadband install
on my PC...is it safe to do so??? Would they crash & burn?

I have both a dialup and a cable connection and have no problems.

No need to disconnect the cable when you use dialup, at least on my system.
The dialup appears to become the default connection whenever I connect using
my phone account. The cable connection waits in the background until I
disconnect my modem.
