Ipod Won't work and Apple says it is an INS Driver Issue

I can not get my new iPod Nano to work, and after working with Apple for
a long time, they said it is a Windows issue and to talk to Microsoft about
updating my INS drivers. The computer finds the Ipod but thinks it is a
hard disk or something, and iTunes doesn't recognize it. I did notice that
in Device Manager under Universal Serial Bus Controllers the Ipod isn't
there. It is under a different section called Unknown along with my USB
printer and 8-1 reader. I don't know how to move the Ipod to the USB
controllers section. Any help would be Appreciated.

Is it recognised on other XP systems?

Yes, the iPod works at my XP system at work. I also have a shuffle that
works at my office computer, so I know it isn't the Nano it has to be the
computer.

Install/Update the appropriate chipset driver package for your PC. After
a reboot it may be necessary to remove the devices from the "Unknown"
category and reboot again for XP to properly enumerate them.
